As Alliance this quest can be a little awkward if you've never been to Frostfire Ridge (the Horde starter zone). El's Extreme Anglin' suggests The Bones of Agurak as a good fishing spot for Alliance players, being just inside the zone, and having tried it, I agree.The easiest way to get there is via the Gorgrond Pass, best reachable either by climbing the hill north of Башиок, or by turning west from the main road just south of Beastwatch, you have to run through a small town full of goren mobs (Deadgrin), but once you're through it's clear. The pass itself can be found around (37, 77), and the pools are visible ahead of you as soon as you enter Frostfire Ridge. I found the larger one was better, the smaller one had a lot of "Water too shallow" issues.
For easy returning in future, there is an Alliance flightpath a little along the road to the north and off on the right, at Iron Siegeworks (87.3, 62.6). Be careful not to miss it, as if you enter Iron Siegeworks itself, it's full of lvl 100 mobs!

If you obtain more than 10 Fire Ammonite Eggs from slicing up the fish, put the extra in your bank and only carry the 10 needed when turning in the quest. Otherwise, they all disappear out of bags. Loading up the fishing stat with a decent rod Удочка со стразами and lure Перьевая наживка makes this really quick. I fished up 5 Огромный огненный аммонит in less than 10 casts on about 740 skill. When gutted these give the 10 Икра огненного аммонита needed. Even with just learning fishing on a toon, gutting 20 of the Small Fire Ammonite gave me 7 of the Fire Ammonite Eggs, so don't be discouraged by the slowness of getting the little Ammonites.

These can be caught in the Alliance Garrison. I got the Fire Ammonite Bait on my first cast in the Garrison fishing water, and got all the Ammonite I needed to finish the quest before it ran out.

As an Alliance player, you’re unfortunately headed for Хребет Ледяного Огня, the Draenor starting zone of the Horde. It’s easy anyway done like this:1. Go to the zone border in Горгронд:/way Gorgrond 36 78 Gorgrond Pass
2. Get the flight path at Iron Siegeworks in Хребет Ледяного Огня:/way Frostfire Ridge 87 62 Flight master
3. Fishing!/way Frostfire Ridge 87 70 Bones of Agurak
The required 10 Икра огненного аммонита can all be caught at the tarpit of Bones of Agurak. You need to catch any of these fish:
A Наживка для огненного аммонита will soon be pulled ashore as well. It can be combined with a standard fishing pole bait.

No Need to fly around each day fishing for these guys. If you keep a stock of them; whether a few stacks of: 5 Enormous, 10 Regular, or 20 Small; as long as you filet them during the daily you will get the eggs dropped from them. This leads to the next plus, if you purchase the fish in the AH or get some as a gift from a friend or guildmate, you will get the eggs from fileting them too. Since the size of the fish is based on your fishing skill in Draenor, the closer to 700 you can get when you first start out fishing in Draenor, the more "enormous" fish you'll catch and the less "small" fish you'll catch.If you already had your fishing skill up to 600 before Draenor, and you took the time to get both the <Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole>] and the <Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat> in previous expansions, you can get your effective fishing skill level up to 700 on your first cast in Draenor. With the appropriate type of bait (based on which type of fish you want to catch), you should catch mostly "enormous" some regular, and very few -- if any -- "small."
Once you no longer actually needed a fishing pole to fish, I'd put both of those items away in the darkest recesses of my bank. It's worth it to bring them both out again.

for those new to fishing, there are green\yellow 'pools' that randomly spawn in the tar pit. These are concentrated schools of the ammonite. Fish the periphery of these pools: highest concentration is around the perimeter of the pool, but you can catch anywhere in the pool. While I as there, only 1 pool at a time spawned, and about 5min between spawns.

If you have the bait and the flight path to the slag mines you can get to the coast along the small path there heading N-NE down Stone fury Cliffs. I quickly got enough enormous fish to get the eggs. I was surprised to see that the eggs had (according to my tool-tip ) a AH price of 12 or 15 gold per egg. I got the bright idea when I got home to post some on market but did not realize that once the quest was turned in the fish did not yield eggs but the "meat" of the fish. So it may be worth your while to check the AH price before u set out on this quest in case you want to make a few dollars since your line is already in the water. I usually fish for the ten minutes my lure (+100 worm) lasts and I got a ton of the target fish in this time. I wish I had known what was what when I started as I would have liked to try to sell 40 or 50 eggs at 15 gold each.Комментарий от PedroXavi
Actually, as an Alliance player, you can simply head to Nagrand's Flightpoint in Ring of Trials, go East and get inside the Hallvalor zone.There's a lava pool inside with some Fire Ammonite Pools. You can even fish off the pools and get the ammonites, took me 5m to get the Daily done.

These pools spawn all over in any lava pits in Frostfire Ridge, they can be hard to spot if you're not sure what you're looking for. They are colored slightly lighter than the rest of the lava around them. They are far and few, and are a pain if you don't have flying to find. They can be found in Hallvalor Zone area in Nagrand, not far from Ring of Trials. Good luck!

I have found a simple location for completing this: Hallvalor in Nagrand. I stealth in to a small rock extending into the big pool in the pit (/way 87.2 55.2) and can stand there and fish undisturbed, catching the fish and getting eggs easily.ru.wowhead.com

If you go out of the front of your garrison and look to the right you'll see a lake of lava. Start fishing here and within a few casts you should catch a Наживка для огненного аммонита. Use this item and you will now be able to catch Огненный аммонит from the lava. Once you collect ten Fire Ammonite you need to right click the stack which should give you something like 5-7 Икра огненного аммонита's needed for the quest. I caught 20 Fire Ammonite and was able to get 12 eggs from them.

Another good place to fish for these is in the Pools of Vision inside Wor'gol. You can catch them without a bait, of course not as frequently as the more common fish. There are also pools that pop up every 5-10 minutes.I've also found a decent amount of fire ammonite pools in the lava lake outside my garrison.
If you have a fire ammonite bait you can fish in your garrison to catch these as well.

Right now the npcs get ALL your Икра огненного аммонита, send anything above 10 to an alt to have for next time. Speaking of fishing and alts, you can trade/send anything fishing related like the fancy bait, the daily quest item, raw or filleted fish.Happy anglin'!

Alliance:Right in the middle of the map, you'll find The Boneslag, which is straight south (and slightly west) of the Bloodmaul Slag Mines flight point.
There is fishable lava at this location. Ignore the Orcs nearby, they aren't flagged.
For those with Coordinates, I was standing at 45.4, 43.3.

Actually you dont need to catch Fire Ammonite Bait to deal with that daily quest. Just look for Fire Ammonite School around lava lakes.Seems Fire Ammonite School spawns only in tiny lake just outside Garrison heading north.

These fish are captured in pools or open water all over Frostfire ridge.You must obtain 5 fish of each type (Малый огненный аммонит, Огненный аммонит, or Огромный огненный аммонит) before you can right-click and "gut/clean" the fish to obtain a stack of Щупальце огненного аммонита. You get varying amounts with each type of fish that is "gutted/cleaned":Щупальце огненного аммонита is the actual reagent, and is used in items such as Морской пир, Огненные аммониты, Масло из огненного аммонита, and Зелье чистой ярости.

If you can't be asked to run around to each different lake looking for Косяк огненного аммонита's in Хребет Ледяного Огня, I recommend fishing in a random inland water, like in Bones of Agurak.After fishing a bit you will most likely have fished up a Наживка для огненного аммонита.Use it and from there on out you will almost always catch Огромный огненный аммонит, assuming you have a fishing skill of 700 or more.I highly recommend using lures like Заостренный рыболовный крючок or Королевский червяк.Also Шляпа Ната is pretty convenient while fishing for Enormous fish.Плот рыболова is something I also recommend that you use, to avoid pulling mobs on land etc..

I fished in a pond at Colossal's Fall, east of the neutral FP. If you enter the ribcage from the northwest, there's a pond. There are three level 92 mobs there, two standing in front of a hut, one fishing -- stand between them and back a bit. I didn't aggro any of them at 100, and was able to get Fire Ammonite Angler in about 45 minutes there. Schools of them appear periodically, but with bait and fishing buffs you don't really need them.

You can add your Nat Pagle hat if you have one. But "Fishing" has to be last in the list or your "cast" will be canceled out (interrupted).
I love this macro so much I had to share it. Even when you're fishing in non-Draenor zones (and don't need the special bait), this macro will keep you afloat, as it refreshes your raft on every cast.

Frostfire 38,38 (Lava Pond on Blades Edge Mountain) is pretty good. Pools appear every now and then and there no mobs surrounding 3 sides of the lava pond.Returns with bait are also good.

Great news, Blizz must have made it easier in one of the latest patches, as of February 16, 2015 I didn't need top of the line fishing gear or baubles to get my 100 Огромный огненный аммонит I started fishing for the Enormous Fire Ammonites at level 667 fishing while using Графитовая удочка Сета (increases skill level by +20), and Яркая блесна (increasing fishing by +75) giving me a total of +95 to my fishing skill. First cast into the lava just outside the north gate of the garrison I got my bait, and 10 baits later I had a grand total of 100 Enormous Fire Ammonites, 59 Fire Ammonites, 40 Enormous Crescent Saberfish, 22 Crescent Saberfish and 22 Burnt Clumps. Which works out to (for those interested in percentages) 41.2% Enormous Fire Ammonites, 24.3% Fire Ammonites, 16.5% Enormous Crescent Saberfish, 9.1% Crescent Saberfish and 9.1% Burnt Clumps. The entire process only took me less than 2 hours to complete. My fishing ended up at level 697, with fishing pole and bauble the process started at level 762 and ended with it at level 792. So, you no longer need to get your fishing up to level 900. Of course, I may have just been extremely lucky. Hope you guys are too.Комментарий от Volleynova
Hung out at 42, 45 in Frostfire Ridge. Threw some bait on the Big Iron Fishing Pole and got all my Enormous Fire Ammonite in less than 30 minutes. Good times.Flip on some Joe Pesci prank calls on YouTube and those 30 minutes will be over in no time.

As of 6.1, cleaning of fish has gotten a LOT simpler. It now takes 5 fish to clean, no matter what size they are, and they now give a set amount of mats. Current yield is as follows, per 5 fish.Enormous: Yields 20Normal: Yields 10Small: Yields 5

My favorite spot to fish these are the small pool in front of the garrison and there is usually a pool in it too. Be sure and use all your goodies, like fishing hat and advanced fishing pole, and worm supreme. I always get between 80-90% return. Hope this helps you as much as it did me.Комментарий от skyline33

29/100 on my first round of bait / worm supreme. I fished at /way 59,59 25,76 (a small pool inside the ribcage at Colossal's Fall) with only a bone fishing pole and some worm supreme and bait. That gave me around 930 fishing skill.Minus a few off casts, and turning my camera angle so that I'd uncast, it didn't seem too bad to fish here.

35,22 in frostfire, Inside daggermaw ravine. No mobs on the east end of the pond, with a pool that spawns around every 5 to 8 mins. With 700 skill plus bait and a darkmoon donut, it dropped at around 75% without the pool. Something odd has happened since I set up my shipyard. I used to be able to fish these guys in the little lava pool between the garrison and the coast. Now they're all gone. Had the fire ammonite bait and 850 fishing, but nothing doing.I had to go to the bigger pool at the garrison's northeast exit to catch any Fire Ammonite. Fished up some hardcore saberfish from the lava though.

For any of you still trying to do the Angler achiev for this fish, after much suffering I found out that the lava pool at 41 45 is the best spot. There's always one school up... Fish it up, realm hop and fish again! Rinse and repeat. In many occasions I found 2 and sometimes 3 pools up at the some time. Saved me a lot of time and trouble since I found many groups with auto-invite and "hop ok".Edit: I decided to add that I had no bait, no hat and no special fishing pole. Was using the one from fishing itself... and even so I had 100% drop on schools and it took me very little time.

This bait can be fished in the inland waters (lava) of Frostfire Ridge, in the ocean you can fish Sea Scorpion bait. It CAN be used together with fishing lures and, as the tootip says, it increases your chance to fish Small Fire Ammonite / Fire Ammonite / Enormous Fire Ammonite while fishing in Frostfire. It's unique but don't be afraid to use it, it's quite easy to fish up another.

These new additions to the game have given me the opportunity to invest in a Tacklebox! If you like to fish, even occasionally, in Draenor then I would suggest a few things:1) Use a fishing pole, gear with (+# Fishing), a lure, a few Captain Rumsey's Lager, and bait-Reason: the higher the fishing skill the better the chance for you to catch Enormous grade fish---Enormous fish count for achievements that unlock the lvl 3 fishing shack and ultimately Nat Pagle himself!2) Grab a few Potions of Water Walking or your fishing raft. Unless your class has a water walking ability-Reason: why try to find solid ground? Make your own!3) Profit!

I noticed today that when I wet from one area, fishing for one type of fish with one type of bait, to another area fishing for fire ammonite with fire ammonite bait, two things happened:- I wasn't catching any more enormous fish, even with 975 fishing skill (with bonuses of course).
- I wasn't getting a replacement bait nor was I catching the new fish (was only catching enormous crescent saberfish).
Unequiping gear and reequipping it seemed to fix the "enormous" problem, but it didn't fix the type of fish I was getting. I /reloaded ui, but that didn't seem to work. I finally logged out and back in and the first cast I got my bait and began catching enormous fire ammonite again. Not saying there is a problem, but try that if you notice this. This might not be only fire ammonite either.

Just to clarify the bait only "works" inside your garrison and the location it mentions, in this case Frostfire Ridge. However it does NOT work on any other map no matter your fishing skill. Doing the Рыболов Дренора still requires you to travel all around.

Quick Note: When using the bait inside of your garrison with a lvl 2 or lvl 1 fishing shack, you will not catch any enormous fire ammonite.You will have to go outside of your garrison to catch them.
As another note:I've seen people say you will not be able to get the bait you used from fishing while using the bait, this is incorrect, I've received the bait I've used while fishing.

2. Как получить доступ к Рыбацкой хижине
В этом разделе мы расскажем вам о том, как получить доступ к хижине 1, 2 и 3 уровня.
2.1. Рыбацкая хижина, уровень 1
Хижина появится в вашем гарнизоне после того, как вы прокачаете ратушу до второго уровня. Изначально хижиной пользоваться нельзя. Чтобы получить доступ, возьмите у тренера квест Поиск помощников (Aльянс) или Поиск помощников (Орда). Требуется 94 уровень.
2.2. Чертежи гарнизона: рыбацкая хижина, уровень 2
Чтобы повысить уровень хижины, купите Чертежи гарнизона: рыбацкая хижина, уровень 2 у Спарц Болтокрут (Aльянс) или Резлак(Орда). Торговец находится рядом со столом архитектора в ратуше. Чертеж стоит 1000г.
2.3. Чертежи гарнизона: рыбацкая хижина, уровень 3
Чертежи гарнизона: рыбацкая хижина, уровень 3 можно получить в награду за достижение Рыболов Дренора. В достижение входят: Ловец морских скорпионов, Ловец толстопузиков, Ловец хлыстохвостов Черноводья, Ловец огненных аммонитов, Ловец безротых скрытиусов, Ловец слепых озерных осетров и Ловец глубинных угрей-мешкоротов.
Чтобы их выполнить, потребуется поймать горы рыбы в водах (или лунках, если вам нужны Огромный огненный аммонит) различных зон Дренора. Чтобы немного упростить процесс, воспользуйтесь нижеприведенными советами.
- Чтобы ловить огромную рыбу, потребуется навык 650. Чем выше навык, тем выше шанс поймать рыбу необычного размера. Вам помогут любые предметы, повышающие навык рыбной ловли, например:
- Пытаясь рыбачить в различных зонах Дренора, вы сможете поймать приманку, увеличивающую шанс поймать рыбу, соответствующую этим зонам. К примеру, в Награнде можно поймать Наживка для толстопузика, увеличивающую шанс поймать Огромный толстопузик вместо Рыба-сабля. Приманка уникальна, и вы не сможете положить в сумку еще одну копию. Повесив ее на крючок, вы увеличиваете шанс поймать еще одну приманку.
Получив достижение, вы сможете купить Чертежи гарнизона: рыбацкая хижина, уровень 3 у Спарц Болтокрут (Aльянс) или Резлак(Орда) за 1000г.
3. Дейлик
НПЦ в хижине будет выдавать вам ежедневные квесты. Для выполнения вам потребуется поймать дренорскую рыбу и выпотрошить ее, чтобы получить квестовый предмет. Квест можно делать в гарнизоне. Поймайте приманку для рыбы дня, а затем поймайте рыбу с ее помощью.
За дейлик дается 1 очко навыка рыбной ловли и Набор рыболовных снастей, в котором может содержаться приманка и другие ценные вещи.
4. Нат Пэгл
Прокачав хижину до третьего уровня, вы получите квест [Luring Nat] (Aльянс) или [Luring Nat] (Орда) от торговца снастями. Для квеста требуется поймать рыбу в стартовой локации вашей фракции. Чтобы поймать Чародейская форель, нам потребовалось 10 попыток.
[Finding Nat Pagle] — следующий квест цепочки. Поезжайте в Красагаранские джунгли (локация MoP) и поговорите с Натом, чтобы взять [A True Draenor Angler] и поймать по одной рыбке: Гигантский глубинный угорь-мешкорот, Гигантский хлыстохвост Черноводья, Гигантский слепой озерный осетр, Гигантский толстопузик, Гигантский огненный аммонит и Гигантский безротый скрытиус. Счастливая монетка Ната и репутацию можно получить, поручив Нату работу в хижине и сдавая ему рыбу, пойманную из лунок.
6. Обитатели пещер
Хижина третьего уровня позволяет ловить Карп Зашедшей Луны (Aльянс) и Ледоспинка студеных глубин (Орда) в водах гарнизона. Они позволяют призвать [Lunarfall Cavedweller] и [Frostdeep Cavedweller] соответственно. С призванных мобов падают полезные предметы для рыбалки, а также Счастливая монетка Ната.

I made this all-in-one macro so you only have to press the macro without having to think about refreshing either the lure from Шляпа Ната, your water walking from Плот рыболова and the Наживка для огненного аммонита.If you're using this while watching a movie or show while having the sound on WoW on to hear the bobber dunk in the water, make sure to go into System -> Sound and uncheck Error Speech because of the cooldown on Nat's Hat.

I have just been fishing for Fire Ammonite in Frost Fire ridge to get the Draenor Angler achievement. The best place I found was The little Horde village The Boneslag 41.31 46.32. It took me a while however nothing like the times mentioned above. Just run round picking up the pools of which there were around 13/14 had to wait on some re-spawning but the whole thing took around 1.5 hrs. This was on my Alliance toon.Комментарий от Volleynova
Hung out at 42, 45 in Frostfire Ridge. Threw some bait on the Big Iron Fishing Pole and got all my Enormous Fire Ammonite in less than 30 minutes. Good times.Flip on some Joe Pesci prank calls on YouTube and those 30 minutes will be over in no time.

Found that standing in Frostfire Ridge: Bones of Agurak on the land bridge between the two pools of water showed about 6 fishing pools that respawned. Standing at /way 86, 71 (or flying) and having fish finder on showed the pools rather quickly. A 3-second flight to the south-west showed the other side of the pool (past the arm).Fished for over an hour, about 3-5 fish per pool, no bait and about 1-2 minutes per pool respawn. This is one boring achievement, but needed. Too bad consuming alcohol in game doesn't "enhance" your fishing skills. Sigh.

Go to Frostfire Ridge map, you can find and fish schools in each inland lava pool around.Two big problems here. One is that there are a lot of lava pools in the map but very small, with only one school maybe and not always.Second problem is that you cant use Плот рыболова in lava pools cause lava damages you.So in here, you must use Наживка для огненного аммонита, in order to fish without stop.You can get baits just by fishing on any spot in this map, just take into consideration that you cannot catch another Bait when you have one in your bag, but using a Наживка для огненного аммонита while fishing not only increases your chances to catch Enormous Fire Ammonite but also the chance to catch another bait.
Best two spots i have found are:First one at 51,60 cause doesnt look like in the map but you will find going there that is the biggest lava pool in all the map, the only one with chance to have to schools at same time.Second one is at 86,71 there are two pools of water each one with a school and not only you can stand between both and easy check schools pop on your minimap; the difference here is that is no lava pool, is water pool. Unique spot like this in Frostfire map.
So choose one of those spots, use schools when are up, and if not use bait and fish fish fish. You will need 40min around.

9/3/18Bones of AgurakThere are regular pools spawning every couple minutes, this is very helpful. Still a long haul but lots faster than flying around looking for pools in random lava lakes. Good luck!
